Ronald A. Crane practices Corporate, Commercial and Real Property Law with
Coutts Crane in Toronto. He earned his B.A. from York University in 1965,
followed by his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1968. He was called to
the Ontario Bar in 1970.
Advocacy skills were developed through extensive court experience early in
Ron's practice. Those skills now are used in appearances before many municipal
councils, administrative boards and government bodies.
Ron's clients tend to be entrepreneurial and this calls for a lawyer,
who can be flexible, practical and sensitive to the special needs of
such a clientele. Listening to the needs of an ageing population has
lead to a unique emphasis in senior's housing issues.
He is extensively involved with many innovative lifestyle projects for
seniors including many life lease projects sponsored by not-for-profit
and charitable groups throughout Ontario. Ron's experience also includes
a broad range of real estate development from condominiums to commercial
projects. He has written articles and given presentations on life leases
and related subjects to a number of groups and organizations.
In his spare time, apart from family and recreation, Ron has done volunteer
work with many organizations including the Cheshire Home Foundation,
the V.O.N. and a has a long and continuing association with Rotary.
