Elgin E. Coutts,
Q.C. Elgin E. Coutts is a co-founder of the firm specializing
in Commercial Law, Real Property, Wills and Estates. He brings a
wealth of experience to clients.
A veteran of World War II, he graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1949. A year later, he founded Carrick and Coutts with Donald Carrick, his original partner.
Over the years, the firm has continued to grow and achieve greater success by never wavering from Elgin and Donald’s original vision of integrity and dedicated service to clients.
On a personal note, Elgin is a founding member of Northlea United Church. He has served in various capacities from the Board of Stewards and Elders to Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
He is an active member of the Rotary of Toronto, having served in a number of capacities including directors and president. In 1985, he received the prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship.
Other interests include the Granite Club, the Royal Canadian Military Institute, the Royal Canadian Legion (Fort York Branch), and the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Toronto.
